Nintendo continue the adventures of Samus Aran, our favourite Metroid killing bounty hunter, on the Wii. Samus is just a regular girl; Brought up by aliens, genetically altered and given a super suit she battles against space pirates and evil space parasites called Metroids.
In this game, Samus speaks, gets emotional and develops her story. I can hear all you Metroid die-hards gasping in shock but Nintendo have gone in slightly different direction with this newest addition to the popular Metroid series. Rather than this game being Samus against the world, it seems to be more story driven. I think they’re trying to appeal to a wider gaming audience and hopefully it’ll work.
The movement in this Metroid game has been completely overhauled too.
It’s reminiscent of the early 2D scrolling days mixed in with 3D shooting you expect from the Wii. It sounds complicated and I have no idea how it works. I really want to get my hands on it as I’m a massive Samus fan! Fingers crossed it’ll be awesome!
